I missed your videos just for three weeks as I was too busy, now those changes, a big WOW, well done! Those skylights were the best part of your renovations, so much more light into this dark corner of your living room!

As soon as I saw the bench I thought wow thats going to look so good. Then you added an Olive tree exactly what I have been contemplating getting. ( bit pricey at the moment) I will sit back patiently and see how you transform this space.. But hey what's with all the negativity being posted? I do not get it why be negative when the house doesn't belong to you people. Realistically people you are never going to sit on the bench so shush.

I love the corner storage bench idea. You'll be able to enjoy the skylights so much!!! I can already see you sitting there, sipping on a coffee, and soaking up that lovely natural light. It will be awesome!!!

I love the direction you're going. I hope you don't let the negativity here get you down. I'll admit, when you first bought that round/oval table and thought about painting it, I also had my doubts. (Mainly because that table is truly vintage and I think that wood deserves to shine as is.) A painted bench and table cloth I think are the perfect way to go. It makes it seem more cottagey and cute. Once you have a cabinet or side board and some large art on the wall where the olive tree now stands, I think it'll really pull together all your hard work ❤❤

Loved your cardi at the end. Well done on your hard work. I did a lot of painting myself and laterly got a decorator in and felt the cost was worth it as I had the whole house done inside and out and best investment I ever made as used to annoy me before and now it doesn't and only small touch ups needed.

The new dining bench gave me flashbacks to your gardenhouse you made into a very cosy place to hang out, a few years ago. So I'm confident you will make it work in your livingroom too. You always have the most creative, wonderfull ideas!

Dear Elise, you look like a Disney Princess! I love the new skylight and you can absolutely be proud of yourself for doing all this hard work by yourself. The two chairs with the golden pillows a gorgeous! Since I have an interior design background, I can`t help but give some advice - no obligations to follow, it`s your house, but maybe it can inspire you in some way. So, first of all a round table doesn`t fit into a corner bench, well, because one form is round and the other one is square, which leaves uncomfortable spaces in between. The other thing is: If you place a furnitare piece in a corner of a big room, it can easily make the room look uncozy, because it highlights the corner. Also, this corner of your living room is the darkest space in the room, which then is in focus. I would highly recommend placing a single bench or comfy lounge chair right under the skylight (in the middle of the wall) and a long rectangular table with chairs in front of it. Imagine sitting there and looking up, directly into the window - wouldn´t that be great? Anyway, whether you take my advice or not, I really like your channel, keep going with everything, you are lovely :)

I think the corner bench is cute! Those of us who were raised on such sitting areas will get a whole lot of nostalgia here! I agree it looks a little bit misplaced at the moment, but that is only because the proper decoration and cushions are still missing. I’m sure you will make it a lovely little corner just like with all the rest of your beautiful home that got trash-talked by some internet randoms before.

Hey Elise, I don't get why people get so upset over your corner bench. I cannot wait to see how your dining area turns out, and how it might evolve over time. One thought that came to my mind while watching was that the scale/proportions seem a little off. I wondered how the space would feel if you placed the corner bench a bit off the wall. So that you can walk around it. A big rug might balance out the zones of the living room, too. Anyhow, just my inital thoughts. The benches are fine they need a long dark wood table.

Elise I have been thinking about the area with the new ceiling light opening. I see a medium sized fountain on some rocks or platforms with tall and small plants around it. Also could you not stain the wood. There are that dark wood stains with low odor and quick drying. You have come a long way. Its going to look great!! You must be so relieved!!! ps also some speakers on the wall around the table for music. ps again, you can buy foam and cut it to the size of the bench and make covers for them. Then make long cushions to put at the top of the bench with attached ties to attach them.

All I can say is I like your choice of colors. They're all really pretty, but what? I think you might be striving for a terracotta. Try looking@ , terracotta colors, and maybe you'll find something you like better. I like the pink. They're all pretty but I would go with like a dresser or a bedpost or a chair before I would go on anything else.❤❤❤ Altogether, your house is looking fantastic.The sunlights in the roof make a huge huge different.Your house is beautiful.I love watching you have a great weekend🎉🎉

Love the benches, but please don't paint them. Better to bring color by tie on pads and pillows. Make them with designs and colors on both sides. A very Bohemian look. Good for your style.

Looking fantastic. Just a note. You should store unopened wine on it's side to keep the corks moist and tight in the bottle. This is especially important with sparkling wine. It keeps the bottle s well sealed and keeps the wine and the air separated. It's going to be so.lovely and a real haven for you. 🌸🌺🌼💐From Missouri, USA.
